Estimated Shipping Widget will be displayed here!
Bring a touch of quiet beauty to your table with this refined three-piece set, each plate decorated with a delicate blue snowflake. Snowflakes naturally form in hexagonal patterns, a structure that conveys balance and harmony in nature. In Japanese design, snow motifs are valued for their seasonal charm and associations with purity and serenity. The softly scalloped edges and subtle, wintry sheen give the plates an elegant presence.
The two smaller plates are well-suited for sauces or appetizers, while the largest is ideal for presenting a main dish. With their clean white glaze accented by the soft blue design, these versatile pieces complement both everyday dining and festive occasions. Carefully packaged, they also make a thoughtful gift for weddings, seasonal celebrations, or cherished friends and family.

Harekutani creates Japanese pottery in the Kutani tradition, designed to brighten your home and daily life. The word hare in Harekutani is a Japanese term that signifies special or festive occasions, such as weddings and joyful milestones. True to its name, Harekutani pieces are designed to bring cheer into everyday life, turning simple moments into small celebrations.
Rooted in traditional Japanese pottery techniques of Kutani ware and the five classic pigments of red, yellow, green, purple, and navy blue, Harekutani combines them with contemporary shapes and designs. The resulting pieces are a new expression of Kutani ware—colorful and approachable, yet modern and well-suited for daily use.
Origin
Kutani ware is a traditional Japanese porcelain from the Kaga region in Ishikawa Prefecture, with a history spanning over 350 years. Known for its vibrant overglaze enamel designs and use of five signature colors, known as Kutani gosai—navy blue, red, purple, green, and yellow pigments. This timeless craft has continuously evolved through generations of artisans who balance innovation with a deep respect for tradition.
Kutani ware exhibits a diverse range of distinctive styles, shaped by evolving artistic tastes over the centuries. Styles such as ko-Kutani, with its bold colors, geometric patterns, and painterly detail, and akae-saibyo, marked by ultra-fine red lines. Many pieces feature traditional Japanese motifs, such as kacho (flowers and birds) and sansui (landscapes), offering a timeless glimpse into the beauty of nature and the seasons.
