Founded in 1985, Soushu Kiln is renowned for its mastery of yuri-ginsai, a celebrated Kutani ware technique in which silver leaf is applied to the surface and layered with translucent color glazes before firing. Encased beneath the glaze, the silver retains its soft luster, allowing its beauty to endure over time.

The kiln has independently developed its own high-temperature glaze, achieving a jewel-like finish that enhances the luminous quality of yuri-ginsai. For more than thirty years, Soushu Kiln has pursued elegant and deeply expressive Kutani ware, establishing itself as a respected name in this distinctive technique.
