Taishi Kiln
Taishi Kiln, founded in 2011 in Nonoichi City, Ishikawa Prefecture by Kutani ware artist Yamachika Yasushi, was established to express his personal artistic vision within a lineage as the fourth generation of Seizan Kiln artisans. Drawing on traditional overglaze enamel techniques passed down through generations, the kiln balances respect for Kutani ware heritage with forms suited to everyday use.
Dedicated to preserving time-honored color painting methods, its pieces reflect this philosophy. The kiln works with classic Kutani techniques such as hanazume and aochibu, while also incorporating contemporary motifs into its lineup.
