Blossom Crest Mug

This mug, crafted by artist Sato Tsuyoshi, features a bold composition and expressive use of color, resulting in a striking and memorable finish. The design combines a vermillion red circular crest filled with the auspicious seigaiha “wave” motif with a large blooming flower, accented with brilliant gold details and set against sweeping areas of deep black glaze. Kutani ware is a traditional Japanese porcelain from the Kaga region in Ishikawa Prefecture, with a history spanning over 350 years.
