Description

Perfect for savoring an ice-cold beer, this stoneware cup was created using the kohiki technique, meaning “powder pull” in Japanese. This method involves coating a darker clay base with a layer of white liquid clay slip to create a soft, matte finish. Brown hues from the darker clay peek through the milky-white surface, adding depth and giving the piece an earthy, rustic character. Each kohiki piece is handmade, so no two are exactly alike. With use and time, its surface develops a unique patina, giving this piece a special, one-of-a-kind character. Rich, natural colors, tactile stoneware, and ridged detailing along the body beautifully embody the wabi-sabi aesthetic.

Thick stoneware helps keep your beer cooler for longer while providing durability for everyday use. Originally intended for beer, this cup can also be used to serve your favorite cocktail or non-alcoholic drink. Whether entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet moment alone, savor your favorite beverage in style.
