This Japanese Teapot features wild grapes pattern painted by Mr. Tamekichi Mitsui, who is said to be one of the most beautiful contemporary artists producing Ko-Kutani style works.
His works are characterized by traditional patterns using green, dark blue, purple, yellow, and red, which are known as the Kutani Gosai (five colors of Kutani) since Ko-Kutani. The vivid colors glisten as if wet, and the way they appear on the white Kutani ware porcelain is breathtakingly beautiful.
With a capacity of 400ml(13.5oz), it is the perfect size for around three people to enjoy a cup of tea.
The stainless tea strainer is attached inside of the teapot.
